Terms of Service

The deal between
us and you.

Effective: 2 May 2026 · By using StreamerPeople you agree to the terms below.

1. What StreamerPeople is - and is not

StreamerPeople runs a curated directoryof editors with verified credits on streaming-era productions. We connect editors with producers and companies; we do not represent, agent, employ or guarantee work for any member.

We are not:

  • A talent agency or management company
  • An employer of any member
  • A party to any contract entered into between members
  • Responsible for the quality of work delivered or fees paid between members

2. Membership eligibility

To apply for a member listing as an editor you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a public IMDb profile
  • Have a minimum of two verified editor credits on approved streaming platforms (the list is published on the application form and updated periodically)
  • Provide accurate information about your projects, roles and years

Company accounts are open to producers, production companies and commissioning teams. We may verify your role at a company before unlocking company-only features.

3. Application & approval

All applications are individually reviewed by our team. Meeting the minimum credit requirement does not guarantee membership; approval is at our discretion in order to maintain editorial standards for members and their clients. We will tell you the outcome by email and may ask for additional information during review.

We reserve the right to revoke approval at any time if information later turns out to be inaccurate or if the member breaches these terms (see Section 8).

4. Subscription, fees & cancellation

Some features may be offered on a paid subscription basis. Pricing, billing periods and cancellation terms will be shown on the checkout page before you subscribe. [Pricing placeholder - to be confirmed at launch.]

  • You can cancel an active subscription at any time from your account settings
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • We do not provide refunds for partial months unless required by law
  • Fees are exclusive of VAT/GST/sales tax unless stated otherwise

5. Members manage their own client relationships

Once two members make contact through the platform, all negotiation, contracting, invoicing, scheduling and delivery are solely between them. StreamerPeople is not a party to any agreement formed between members and is not responsible for unpaid fees, delivered work, scheduling disputes or any other matter arising from those engagements.

We strongly recommend members put a written agreement in place before commencing any paid work.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Provide false, misleading or impersonated information
  • Use the messaging system to send spam, harassment, discriminatory content, or unsolicited advertising unrelated to a specific role
  • Scrape, copy or republish our member directory or any individual profile
  • Attempt to circumvent our verification or admin processes
  • Upload malware, attempt to compromise the platform, or interfere with its operation
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose

7. Content you provide

You retain ownership of content you upload (profile copy, showreels, project lists). You grant StreamerPeople a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the platform for the purposes of operating the directory and messaging features.

You confirm that you have the right to share any content you upload and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

8. Removal & termination

We may suspend or remove a member's account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe the member has:

  • Breached these terms or our Privacy Policy
  • Provided false information during application
  • Engaged in conduct that harms other members or the reputation of the platform
  • Failed to pay subscription fees when due

You can close your account at any time. We will delete or anonymise your data in line with our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StreamerPeople, its directors and staff are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special losses arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform - including loss of work, loss of data, loss of profit, loss of reputation, or business interruption.

Our total aggregate liability to any member in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees paid by that member to StreamerPeople in that period or (b) £100.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

10. Governing law & jurisdiction

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms will be handled in the jurisdiction noted in the legal footnote at the bottom of this page, save that members located in the EU, UK or California retain any non-waivable rights they have under the laws of their home jurisdiction.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated by email and shown on this page with a new effective date. If you continue using the platform after changes take effect you accept the updated terms.
